A closer look at Split PDF
Split PDF exports selected pages from a PDF as separate files. You can split every page into its own file, extract page ranges (1-5, 3, 8, 12), split after every N pages, or build your own named groups of pages. Processing runs entirely in the browser.
Reach for this tool when one document contains several unrelated files — for example, a batch of signed contracts scanned into a single PDF — or when a recipient needs only one section of a long report. Splitting into logical chunks also helps when a single PDF has grown too large to send as one attachment.
Single-page outputs download directly as PDFs; multi-file outputs are delivered as one ZIP archive. All ranges are 1-based, so page 1 is the first page of the document. Nothing is uploaded during the operation.

Troubleshooting
The result contains more pages than expected
Re-check the range you entered. A range such as 1-10 splits pages 1 through 10 into their own files, so a 10-page range produces 10 output pages — this is expected. Use Extract Selected with a specific list like 1,3,5 if you only want a few pages.
A split asks for a page that does not exist
Double-check the range against the page count shown in the preview. Ranges are 1-based, and a range starting past the last page produces an empty set — enter only pages that exist.
Encrypted file will not split
Unlock the PDF with the Unlock PDF tool first, then split the unlocked copy.
